Machair on the loch

The machair , South Uist - The Western Isles of Scotland. In this photo they perfectly frame the loch and wonderful evening sky. In summer it hardly gets dark here, staying light until 11 pm and dawn breaking at around 2 am. The wild flowers of this incredible ecosystem are a joy to behold in July , when in full bloom.
